Missiologists have made broad uses
of statistics throughout the history of modern missions. The correct use of
statistics has been useful for missiologists to track God’s work and the
results of quality evangelization. Although “effective research enables a
Christian work to achieve specific goals that promote God’s kingdom in the
shortest possible period of time,”[1]
there have unfortunately been times when statistical data has been
misrepresented and mishandled as well.
