This past weekend was a blast! Tim Batchelor is a hard-working Associational Missionary in the Hephzibah and Kilpatrick Associations of the Georgia Baptist Convention. On Saturday evening, representatives from about 23 churches came together to celebrate our Baptist unity in missions purpose and to fellowship around a great table of BBQ, Brunswick Stew and all the fixins. There were about 130 folks in attendance from a wide segment of Georgia (Warren, McDuffie, Glascock, Jefferson & Burke counties). Steve Brown, Eddy Oliver, Jon Graham, and Bryan Nowak led us in a time of praise & worship. Pastor Wayne Dixon of Botsford Baptist Church, Waynesboro, shared a heart-felt testimony of God's faithfulness that set the stage for our evening service, and Dr. Robert White, Exec. Director of the Georgia Baptist Convention, issued a challenging message on our faithfulness to God. Much thanks to Dr. Phil Bray, pastor of Fort Creek Baptist Church in Dearing, for opening his church to us for this great meeting. Then on Sunday, GBC missionaries spoke in churches throughout the association. I had the personal privilege of speaking at First Baptist Louisville and connecting with Pastor Hardy Owens and his loving congregation. God was truly good to us this weekend!
