For those of you who have not yet heard, these past few months have been an intense time of prayer related to God's direction for our future. We've spent 13 wonderful years as missionaries in Russia , and over the last year we sensed God moving us in a different direction. After much time devoted to prayer and counsel with godly leadership, we sensed God's hand in opening a door for us to begin missions service in the state of Georgia through the Cooperative Program and Stewardship Office of the Georgia Baptist Convention. My next few blogs in the coming days will be about some of the exciting events I now have the privilege of being involved. I praise the Lord for His graciousness, His timing, and His leadership. I am so grateful to Dr. Tom Elliff, new president of IMB and a good friend, to my colleague in Russia (whom I won't name publicly for security reasons), and to Dr. Robert White & Dr. Mike Williams at Georgia Baptist Convention. There's never been a greater time to be involved in missions than today. The missions opportunities in Georgia and around the world have never been more real, so I'm grateful for the opportunity to be on mission with God in reaching our Jerusalem , our Judea, our Samaria , and the uttermost parts of the world.
