Dialogue with a Post-modernist

Critic: "What is your basic position?"

Post-modernist: "There are no absolutes!"

Critic: "Are you sure?"

Post-modernist: "Absolutely!"

Critic: "So are you saying that any view is valid?"

Post-modernist: "I don't want to be nailed down to a particular view, but yes, any view can be brought to the discussion table as valid."

Critic: "So the feminist movement...?"

Post-modernist: "We have to be willing to accept what they bring to the table."

Critic: "...and the homosexual activist agenda?"

Post-modernist: "Yes, it has its place at the roundtable!"

Critic: "What about the fundamentalist who says there are certain things that are wrong?"

Post-modernist: "They cannot be allowed to destroy the unity!"

Critic: "So their view is not valid?"

Post-modernist: "Right!"

Critic: "I thought you said that any view is valid."

Post-modernist: "any view except the one that doesn't accept this principle."

Critic: "Don't you think you're defeating your own argument?"

Post-modernist: "It doesn't matter. This dialogue is not relevant either."
